Highly Specialist Speech and Language Therapist
Laura is a highly specialised speech and language therapist, advanced sensory integration therapist and qualified teacher. She specialises in providing early intervention for children with severe and complex learning difficulties including Autism.
Laura qualified from the University of East Anglia in 2010 as a Speech and Language Therapist and the Institute of Education in 2013 as a Teacher specialising in Special Educational Needs. She has a Masters Degree in Sensory Integration.
Laura has applied highly specialised approaches in the classroom and supported in the development and opening of a preschool for children with severe, complex and profound needs. She has specialist training in Ayres Sensory Integration Therapy, SOS (Sequential- Oral- Sensory) approach to feeding, PECs, Makaton Signing, Attention Autism, SCERTS and PODD.
Laura uses her knowledge and experience to integrate therapy and education to support children to become life-long learners by inspiring them to explore, play, communicate and learn at home and at school. She works collaboratively with families and other professionals to understand the strengths and challenges of the unique child and celebrate all of their achievements!
