Olivia Walker

Clinical Lead and Highly Specialist Speech and Language Therapist

Olivia is a Speech and Language Therapist with experience of working with young people aged 3-25, across a wide range of educational settings. She is currently the Clinical Lead for a group of schools, including mainstream primary schools, and specialist primary schools, secondary schools and colleges.

 
Olivia is passionate about working with children and young adults with speech, language and communication needs as well as social, emotional and mental health needs. She has developed many skills in this area, including supporting complex social communication, emotional regulation, diagnosis acceptance, self-advocacy and independent learning skills. 
 
She is also passionate about working with individuals that have more complex communication needs, including those who use Alternative and Augmentative forms of Communication (AAC). 
 
Olivia enjoys supporting those she works with to overcome communication barriers, involving them as much as possible in the therapy process.  She is keen to liaise with key people within the support network, including family members, educational setting staff, and other professionals in the multi-disciplinary team. 

 
Olivia enjoys planning practical, dynamic and engaging ways to support the young people she works with, keeping them at the center.
